Dr Elizabeth Reid has 18 years’ experience in contemporary music as a songwriter and performing artist, as well as an industry practitioner. As Community Liaison for St Paul’s Creative Centre, Elizabeth is instrumental in creating an environment that encourages collaboration and connectivity through physical and digital clustering of the arts and creative sectors.
Elizabeth’s role as Program Officer for the Music Development Office includes managing the funding opportunities via the Contemporary Music Grant Fund for recording, touring and skills development, as well as the Jon Lemon Artist in Residence program for new cowriting work created in St Paul’s songrooms.
There is an economic and artistic cultural value that the music industry brings to the state, creating a place for creativity, innovation and enterprise. Elizabeth will be highlighting the many support programs available to facilitate creative and business development, the importance of intrapreneurship in driving innovation, and celebrating success stories from South Australia’s thriving start-up community.
